A Trip To Melaka

We went to 2 weddings on Saturday in Melaka. The trip to Melaka should have been smooth but we have been stranded in traffic jam for about 1 1/2 hours. After all it was school holidays. Everybody seems to be heading somewhere. BTW we went to Jusco Melaka after the weddings, and were greeted by the Nandos mascott. So many improvement happened after almost 6 years we left Melaka.

Mehndi- The Art of Henna

I went to a nearby magazine shop and there I saw cones of prepared henna at RM2.50 each. I bought one cone to try and found out that the result was not that bad. I usually try this mehndi whenever there is any Indian or cultural exhibition in shopping complex. They charged quite high, RM10-15 per hand.

Orchids at Ly's Hometown

I had a brief chat about orchids with my friend, Ly who is currently completing her medic study in Cardiff, UK. These orchids belong to her mom back then in her hometown in Perlis. She had the chance to revive them when she went back for Summer Holiday. Never realised that there are other people in my circle of friends who actually like gardening...nevertheless the orchids here are of different species than what I have at home. I guess when one talks about different type of orchids it would be endless. My next move is to find fragrant orchids since I am going to start all fragrant plants garden in my front court yard - it would be a tropical style garden!

Finally, after so many years of yearning to go to Bagan Lalang to have its ikan bakar due to friends' recommendation, (even from back then in campus, we've been planning to go), we made it on Saturday after we went to visit Imran.
The journey from our place to Bagan Lalang using the KLIA highway took roughly about 70km (minus the kilometres when we got lost around the KLIA ports). Fortunately after the long, dark drive around the Sepang area and all the kampung roads, we managed the reach the ikan bakar destination.
We were extremely starving once we reached the place. As usual when one with empty stomach is given the choice of food , one tends to choose it all. Everything looks yummy. Lucky we could finish all the food we ordered. Overall we were happy and full, and the price, for us, it was very affordable given the fact that the seafood and fish were fresh.
There were actually many choice of places to eat. We drove around after the dinner to see other stalls, some even situated right by the beach. We'll go again next time. Anyone interested to join us?

Visit Imran

We were invited to Niza and Ayam's house to visit their newborn son, Imran. He was sleeping peacefully when we reached there. He looks different compared to when we first saw him at the SJMC maternity ward.
I guess in these 2-3 years time, we will be visiting a lot of newborn babies of our friends. Gone was the time when we had our weekends full of attending friends' weddings. Now it's juniors time!

4th April Farah's Birthday Celebration

As my birthday this year fell on Monday, there was not much to be done as Ady was busy working. Though I was happy to be one year older, still there are so much things to be considered and thought about.
Nevertheless I was happy to have a take out lunch on the DAY and be surprised with a birthday cake later in the evening. On Friday, after work, we went out to Johnny's to have steamboat. It was an exciting birthday week after all!
Oh BTW the 2 eggs? I brought it home from the steamboat dinner. Better have it fried rather than boiled..hehe

My Plants, Orchids and Goldfish

My purple orchids finally decided to share its beauty after almost a year without any bloom whereas the white ones have been blooming ever since. Those green plants were bought when we went window shopping in IKEA early this year. See the most left of the green plants pic, I have been trying my luck in taking care the anthurium though it seems so hopeless. Now it's dead. It was my second attempt in "bringing up" anthurium. See the cactus? It's no more there..I killed it with overdosage of H2O. Just hope those two fat goldfish will stay alive for another year or two..after all it's my one year wedding anniversary present!
